Our last day in Antigua we visited a wheelchair center. I got to ride in a basketball wheelchair for people who play basketball. It was strange but fun. Then we drove for 4 hours and I got car sick. We went into a boat that was terrifyingly rocky in a downpour, then walked up a million stairs to get to the hotel. I felt like we had taken a shower.
The next day we took a boat back into town and it was fast and easy, and I only grabbed my life jacket on the way back. We met a girl named Milsa, in high school, and we went to her house and made tortillas for lunch. On the way back, I had to put on a life jacket because the engine on the boat kept on stopping and the waves were really big.
My mom's computer broke so we may not be able to post pictures but I will try.
Hi Brit! It's Makenzie.
ReplyDeleteI am glad that you made a few pet friends! The hotel pet looks really cool! It was funny watching you herd pigeons. :-)
I wish you were here, we are doing graphs in math today and you had a sub today.
Hi Kenzie.
DeleteI can show you some more pictures about the pigeons and the dogs. I miss you a lot too. The boat rides are crazy. The one in the morning is smooth but in the afternoon the boat is tipping every which way.
Hi Brit! Looks like you are having a great trip. We miss you here but are happy you are having fun and learning a lot. Perhaps when you are back home you can teach us how to make tortillas? Much love to you and your mom. Jim, Jen and Bennett
ReplyDeleteHi Bennett. I will show you how to make tortillas. It is really fun! I can't wait to show you! There better than most.
DeleteI can't truly imagine your moment on the boat but what life stories you have to share. Do you remember the story we read about a little girl who lost her mom's ring in the tortilla dough? I am thinking you will see beautifully bright colored fabrics. I will keep checking in on your adventures.
ReplyDeleteThe moment on the boat I can't imagine myself!! It was so nerve wrecking! I am glad you are reading my posts!
DeleteA wheelchair for people who play basketball sounds really cool!
ReplyDeleteBoats can be really scary, so it's great that you put your life jacket on.
What adventures you're having - they're fun to look back on, especially if they're scary when you're actually having them.
Love, Grandpa and Grandma
And the parade looks terrific!!
